The youngest of the three night hag sisters at Old Bonegrinder. Came downstairs with blood on her hands, dragging a child, during the party's stay.
Overview
Offalia Wormwiggle is the youngest of the three night hag sisters operating the Old Bonegrinder windmill. Together with her mother Morgantha and sister Bella Sunbane, she forms a coven that the party recognized as far too dangerous to confront directly. The trio operates under Strahd's explicit legal authority, processing children into dream pastries that are sold throughout the valley.
During the party's overnight stay in Session 11, Offalia was the sister who came down the stairs with blood on her hands, dragging a child — the most viscerally horrifying moment of the encounter. She also made unsettling gestures toward Aleric during the evening.
Hag Form

In her true form, Offalia is a grotesque night hag of terrible aspect. Like her sisters, she typically maintains a disguised human appearance when dealing with visitors or traveling the roads of Barovia, reserving her true form for moments of intimidation or violence.
Session Appearances
- Session 11 — Present at the Old Bonegrinder. Came downstairs with blood on her hands during the party's stay, dragging a captive child. Made unsettling gestures toward Aleric.
- Session 12 — Still at the windmill when the party departed in the morning.
Relationships
- Morgantha — Mother; matriarch of the coven
- Bella Sunbane — Sister; fellow coven member
- Strahd von Zarovich — Operates under his legal authority
- Rahadin — Signatory on the hags' operational authority
Offalia is often the most "hands-on" of the three sisters — literally the one with blood on her hands. She may be the most volatile in a future confrontation. The session transcripts refer to her as "Ophelia" due to transcription error, but the canonical CoS Reloaded spelling is Offalia Wormwiggle. The party will need to deal with all three sisters simultaneously when they return, requiring anti-magic field or equivalent to prevent Ethereal Plane escape.
